World Feeling measures the global fear/hope sentiment through anonymous votes. This page explains what data we collect and how it is used.
1. Data we collect
- Votes: When you submit a vote (0–100), we store the numeric value and submission timestamp to compute aggregated statistics. We do not ask you to create an account.
- Log/technical data: Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, date/time) for security and debugging.
- Advertising cookies (when enabled): We plan to use Google AdSense to display ads. AdSense may set/read cookies or similar identifiers to measure ad performance and deliver relevant ads.
2. How we use the data
- Compute and display aggregated sentiment charts.
- Ensure site security and performance (logs).
- Show and measure advertising (AdSense), subject to your consent where required.
3. Legal basis
- Votes & logs: Legitimate interest (provide the service, prevent abuse).
- Advertising cookies: Consent (in the EU/EEA). Ads do not set non-essential cookies until you consent via our cookie banner.
4. Sharing
We share data with service providers strictly to operate the site (e.g., hosting, analytics/ads). When AdSense is enabled, Google acts as an independent controller for advertising data.
5. Data retention
- Votes: retained to compute historical charts.
- Logs: kept for a limited period by the host for security/debugging.
- Advertising data: governed by Google’s policies.
6. Your choices
- You can refuse advertising cookies in the EU/EEA (cookie banner) and change your choice at any time.
- You may contact us to exercise applicable privacy rights (access, deletion, etc.).
